CO2 Fractional Resurfacing
The CO2 fractional laser is the laser of choice for acne scar, surgical scar, wrinkle & open pore reduction. It is also FDA approved for the treatment of sunspots & melasma (see fig. 1)

How long does it take? | 5 - 10 minutes to cover most of the face. |
Is it painful? | We apply a numbing cream 25 minutes prior to the procedure & use an air Chiller during the procedure to minimise discomfort. |
What is the down time? | Microscabs will form within minutes that takes 4 days to drop off. It is important to avoid sun exposure for at least a week after. See figure-2 |
How many treatments are necessary? | Each treatment will give you a mild to moderate & permanent improvement. An average of 4 treatments are recommended at least 3 weeks apart, (see before & after pics below) |
Any side effects? | Usually none. However, temporary pigmentation may result especially in case of sun exposure (seen in less than 5% of cases). This clears in around 8 weeks. |
